I haven't quite figured out how exactly I feel about the recent crop top trend, partly because majority of what I've been wearing for some months before I left (yes, the time I wasn't blogging) consisted of clothes that could go from school to office to drinks out at night, and the crop top is just difficult to work with when propriety is an order. But while I'm not stocking up on crop tops, I must admit that the rather small article of clothing comes with its own sleek appeal in the right fit, cut and even color. Solid colors or discreet prints give the top a sense of formality. I find that the trick is to select one that doesn't hug too tightly and is at least long enough to cover nearly up until the waist. This way, it can be paired with high waist trousers or a high waist skirt that won't fall shorter than just above the knees. Inconspicuous, but still current enough to make a statement.
