Pray for the Philippines

Photos of Supertyphoon Haiyan aftermath from NBC News and Global Post

It breaks my heart to watch such a disaster consume my country while I'm so far away from it. While it hasn't really affected where I'm from in the National Capital Region (NCR), I have people I consider part of my extended family whose relatives, homes and neighbourhoods were injured and obliterated by Supertyphoon Haiyan (Local name: Yolanda). The other exchange students in my program have already organized group prayer sessions. I still have yet to figure out if there's anything else I can do to help while I'm away, but in the meantime, I hope this post can raise even more awareness. Please pray for the Philippines as we cope, rebuild, and recover from this tragedy, and for those who have the extra resources to help out, below is a list of some links.
