Neckerchief: When the choker doesn't work

Chokers have fast become the trend in the recent months, and I'm happy to jump on the bandwagon with a little bit of modification. See, my neck isn't on the long side (This is probably why I love giraffes. Also because of their long lean legs. Projection. But let's save that conversation for another day.), thus making the usual choker rather unflattering on me. Here comes the neckerchief, or in less pretentious words, a waist sash ribboned around the neck. I tested it out in a Christmas party last year, and I quite liked the effect--its drape giving the illusion of length. With some proportion play, a trend that I thought couldn't work for me suddenly did.

Should there be a trend you like but are unsure of for you, just try it. Most of the time, the best way to see if something works is simply a matter of trial and error. If it works, it works. If not, that's when the fun starts! Think outside the box to modify a trend to work better for you.

Now... is there any past bride out there willing to donate a white sash to me?
